About Us
Meet the Captain
Originally from South Carolina, Captain Lance has a deep passion and appreciation for fishing. As a resident of Kill Devil Hills since 2007, he has spent countless hours on or in the water honing his skills. He specializes in light tackle fishing with his favorite target species being citation drum, trout, flounder, sheepshead and cobia. USCG licensed and insured, Captain Lance will ensure that everyone has a safe and memorable day on the water. No experience? Not to worry. The Captain has all the tools and tips to make sure you get a fish in the boat!
Our Boat
Black Flag Fishing is a 21ft. Parker SE center console powered by a 150 Yamaha. Outfitted with a jack plate and the latest technology, Black Flag will put you where you need to be to ensure you never miss a fish. Our custom tower with dual controls also allows for some very exciting sight fishing.
Boat Rates
We offer half day charters (4 hours) for $500, 3/4 day (6 hours) for $700 and full day (8 hours) for $900. Rates are for 1-4 people. We can however accommodate up to 5 with a fee of $100 for the extra person. A deposit is required to secure your date with the remaining balance due the day of the trip. Deposits will only be refunded due to inclement weather based on the Captain's decision.
Rate inclusions
Our prices include license, bait and tackle. Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen (preferable non-spray) appropriate attire in relation to the weather, snacks and drinks. A cooler with ice and water is provided but feel free to bring your own. We only ask that you pack light so that we have plenty of space for fishing.
Customize
Wanting something a little extra special? Here at Black Flag our goal is to cater to our guests. We are happy to arrange a custom day on the water whether it be island hopping, crabbing, sunset cruising or a curated snackle box while you enjoy the salty breeze. We can even arrange to cook your catch for you at the end of the day, just inquire about our Hook n Cook option!
